About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Community Engagement Intern to join our
team for a 6-month internship. This position offers hands-on experience in community
outreach, event planning, stakeholder engagement, and social media management. The
successful candidate will work closely with our Community Relations team to develop
and implement engagement strategies that strengthen our organization's connection
with the communities we serve. Responsibilities
• Assist in planning and executing community events and outreach activities
• Help manage and create content for social media platforms
• Support the development of community partnerships and collaborations
• Conduct research on community needs and engagement best practices
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving community
engagement
• Track and report on community engagement metrics
• Assist with administrative tasks related to community programs

Requirements
Qualifications
Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a bachelor's or master's program
in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Social Work, Community
Development, or related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with social media platforms and basic content creation
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Genuine interest in community development and engagement
Prior volunteer or community service experience preferred
Internship Details
Duration: 6 months
Hours: 15-20 hours per week (flexible schedule)
Location: Hybrid
$2,500 stipend awarded upon successful completion of the internship
